JunkStock Trip April 2017 @ Sycamore Farms

Hi Junk Lovers!

I’m excited to tell you all about our trip to JunkStock in Omaha this last weekend.  We didn’t have any trouble getting into town, stayed @ the same Holiday Inn Express as we did in October 2015 so the area was familiar.  Of course, since then JunkStock itself has moved but it wasn’t hard to find.

Bigger, better & improved are words to describe it!  Located now @ Sycamore Farms, a true horse stable farm, it’s laid out in a street manor with signs & paths.  There were more vendors, food trucks & new, a petting zoo.  As we got in line, around 8:50 by the time we got parked, we could see the ponies, llamas, donkeys, ducks, goats & more. It looks like a good time for parents/grandparents with little ones.

Of course I could go on & on about this place.  It would be my dream to be able to pull something like this off, an event of this magnitude, I’m certain, is A LOT of work but it’s just so….darn…..COOL!  They really have the whole package here.  I’m going to get right to the pictures since they tell the story.  I love looking at other social media pictures; you always see something new!  Enjoy {& I’m adding my commentary, as always}:

Ok, the sign: turquoise & lighted ~ swoon!  Then, there is that glass test tube, as a flower vase, chandelier = genius!
This open-ended smaller building housed some amazing frames: I vowed – no frames this trip 😦  But oh there was some good things in there!
The outside of this building made me want to get a flat-bed truck & take it home!
The ‘yard’ outside this ‘house’ was amazing!  So darn creative!
Does this remind you of all those Pinterest she-shed images?  Yeah, me too!
Can you picture it: pink, with white trim, some pom-poms & a cook junkin’ quote on the side?
Just a cool view of it all!
Simple & adorable!
A yard statement piece for sure 🙂
Notice left of the red heart clear in the back….the mannequin head : smiling ear to ear!

Incredible sign & not even vintage.
Too far gone to drive it, but man, what a backdrop!

Bicycles are always a good choice when zhuzhing up your garden decor!
JunkStock’s New Locale!
Entering a flea market has never looks so FUN!
Another super cool sign!
I LUV this cart!  Wouldn’t you want to set up a garden flower road side shoppe with this?
Here’s the loot: L to R {vendors listed below w/items}  two candles & a pkg. of melts, earrings, two milk glass vases, vintage alarm clock, handmade pillow, heart/junk sculpture & two tees.
My heart art {that I have wanted for years} has a great spot on the magazine cabinet!
My new chair has a new friend: the ultimate junk pillow!

There were two pieces that didn’t make it home with us….an adorable screen door with lots of gingerbread & a narrow, metal scroll piece that would have been perfect for our porch reno….Junk Hunk Hubby was sad to report both were too tall for the junk wagon {Ford Escape} which has led to convo’s about trading pickups.  Happy vibes are being accepted on that one 🙂

As you can see, it was a great time.  We were able to make it a three day weekend with lots of rest & relaxation too.  Hope you were able to make it there & if not, make plans to visit, you won’t be disappointed!

Happy Junking All!

~ Lora
